All this violence Mindless violence All this violence Right in front of me Yet my eyes stay sealed, I miss it all I've really gotta change these patterns But we all stay the same Struck back and fourth I will rise again When I find I'm defeated There's that look in your eyes That stops me from retreating It lifts me up inside Don't let it take me to high I wont come back down It's so much better up here Living in the clouds This is the same situation You get yourself into everyday! Remember
6.
It saddens me just how much I miss you And a simple word right from your mouth brings me back around I cant believe how far I actually fell for you So far down it took me six feet underground I lay, where you left me, face down/ It wasn't quite there that I stopped I fell for years, i fell into time Time and time again You know what I mean I can't tell if I'm falling Or whether its a dream I went all the way down Burst out the other side Now I'm coming back around With you firmly in my sights Things are gonna be different this time I've quite literally lost my mind I'm gonna come eat yours, to replace mine And you'll know how it feels to break over time Soon to be gone, rotting away I am the living dead, living inside your head You wont forget, I whisper You'll hear me, you'll know I'm there I tell you where to go, and what to eat, and who to kill next
7.
One glimpse and I see everything Your pieces layer the floor in golden glitter They wash away You're at home with failure Cause you've grown up a quitter A casual everyday sinner Washed away Oh, hear my call It's been too long now We all fall into place Forced to fight the feeling So you never see the end Running moments through your mind You wish you could begin Your motions become metaphors As I see your heart leap right out through your skin So much hope locked inside, but where to begin?
8.
I got a passion to strive for , and I want more I cant ever stop now that I've left the floor I'm leaping for the top, and i never wanna stop I wont dwell round the bottom and end up forgotten I wont end up forgotten I'll see you sometime next year when I'm on TV Il be playing the big shows yeah you better believe me But all you try to do is pull me down completely It's so fucking obvious, it's just jealousy I want to wake up in your girlfriends bed With no memory of last night in my head I wanna live like a fucking king So you'll look up to me And dream the life that i have is the one you're needing I want the diamonds rolling down my skin And all the women that those diamonds bring We're just a bunch of cocky cunts That can back it up Tearing out these catchy riffs that you all love Fuck all of you bitches! I don't care what you think We do this for our friends They've been here from the start And they'll be here till the end

about

Foxton deathcore band The Rising Tide meets Christchurch post hardcore/metalcore band Redgrave Manor for this explosive eight track split E.P "Heavyweights" set to take both the local and international metal scenes by storm.

The Rising Tide, currently destroying the New Zealand metal scene with a relentless combination of heavy breakdowns, big riffs, powerful rhythm sections and enthralling vocals have captured the attention of everyone around them. Last year they released the "Oceans" E.P to massive acclaim, both here and abroad. 2014 will not only see the release of more killer songs - but massive touring plans. with the band heading out on the Australasian Heavyweights Tour - sprawling both New Zealand and Australia over April and May.

Christchurch six-piece Redgrave Manor have gone from strength to strength in the last twelve months - from local shows in smaller venues to massive support slots, including a sold out show with NZ band Blacklistt, and the release of their debut E.P "I Told You So" in January, which went to number one on the Christchurch Bandcamp charts in it's first week. The band are currently writing what will become their debut full length release - slated for release later this year.

The two bands joined forces in early December 2013, coming together for a weekend of alcohol, partying, missed flights, and of course the recording of this split E.P - with none other than engineer/producer/mixer D.J Fieldes at the helm - this split E.P is the thunderous combination of all the above things. Turn it up!
